May 28th 2025, San Elijo Middle School Wind Symphony x Sing My Story Foundation

Ivan Parga's premiere of “Estara Bien”, a piece commissioned for a cancer survivor by Sing My Story, will be performed by the San Elijo Middle School Winds Symphony at the California Center for the Arts, in Escondido. (Click here for CBS news coverage)

May 21st 2025, Saint Bonaventure Catholic School’s Annual Spring Concert: Rock Concert

Ivan Parga conducts the SBS Student Body (TK-8th) in their performance of various songs written in the Rock genre, with the 7th/8th grade guitar ensemble, 6th grade recorder ensemble, and various grade level rock bands, performing sacred and secular rock music.

May 13th 2025, CSUF Interstitial Collaborative Project workshop and masterclass with HEX Vocal Ensemble and Brightwork newmusic

Ivan Parga's premiere of “Ocean Litany”, a visual score piece centered on the Catholic-Christian spiritual journey through life, inspired and centered by California’s rich church history. The piece will be performed by fellow CSUF Art of Song Seminar graduate students, and will be critiqued and workshopped by members of the HEX Vocal Ensemble and Brightwork newmusic.

May 8-9th 2025, Saint Bonaventure Catholic School’s Drama Club Performances of Alice in Wonderland Jr.

Ivan Parga's direction of St. Bonaventure Catholic School’s Drama Club culminates in the showcase and performance of the notable musical, Alice in Wonderland Jr., on a 3-night performance weekend anticipating sold out seating.

May 1st 2025, Saint Bonaventure Catholic School’s Saints Chamber Choir Performs at the Annual Diocesan Choral Festival @ St. Edward The Confessor

Ivan Parga conducts the SBS Saints Chamber Choir in their first showcase performance at the Annual Diocesan Choral Festival, performing notable works such as African Gloria and Go Down, Moses.

December 19th 2024, Saint Bonaventure Catholic School’s Annual Christmas Concert

Ivan Parga conducts the SBS Student Lower Grade Body (TK-5th) in their performance of the Christmas repertoire, in both sacred and secular styles.

December 8th 2024, University of Arizona, Tucson Guitar Society Concert

Selections from Ivan Parga’s piece, El Viaje for 4+ guitars ensemble, will be performed by University of Arizona’s Tucson Guitar Society under the direction of Jose Luis Puerta.

October 17-24th 2024, “Off The Menu” Screening and Showcase at the Newport Film Festival

The film “Off The Menu”, featuring Ivan Parga's original score, will be showcased at the annual Newport Film Festival.

September 13th 2024, "To The Hands" Pacific Chorale Concert

Ivan Parga's arrangement/transcription of "Holding Back The Years" will be performed by the Pacific Chorale at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, in the Samueli Theater.

June 17th-22nd 2024, GFA Convention and Competition at CSU Fullerton

Ivan Parga will be tabling at the GFA 2024 Convention Vendor Expo.

April 21st 2024, “Off The Menu” Premiere @ Los Angeles Film & Script Festival

The film “Off The Menu”, featuring Ivan Parga's original score, will be premiered for the first time at the annual Los Angeles Film Festival& Script Festival, and will also be awarded the Best Student Film award.

March 16th 2024 @ 3pm, CSUF Collage Concert

In a concert arranged for generous donors of California State University, Fullerton, Ivan Parga showcases his work, Fantasia and Baile for solo guitar. 

February 12th 2024 @ 1pm, CSUF Guest Artist Masterclass with Juan Pablo Contreras

Juan Pablo Contreras gives a workshop to CSUF Composition students, including Ivan Parga whom presents his in-progress work, Concierto para guitarra.

November 30th 2023@ 8pm, CSUF Composers Forum

Ivan Parga premiers his first published work for solo guitar, Fantasia y Baile.

Participation in Twisted Spruce Guitar and Composition Symposium and Competition 2023

Ivan Parga and guitarist, Liam De Pauw, work in collaboration to create a new work for guitar.

Tarik O'Regan gives lecture on his commission for the CSUF School of Music and gives workshop to CSUF Composition students, including Ivan Parga whom presents his work for Guitar and Voice, Rimas de Becquer. 

May 2nd 2023 @ 8pm, CSUF BM Senior Recital

Ivan Parga-Renteria showcases his works that have been composed in the course of his undergraduate studies. Showcasing works for Guitar and Voice, Guitar Quartet, Woodwind Quintet, Pierrot Ensemble +1, Piano and 3 voices, Solo Piano, and Brass Ensemble. This recital is for partial completion of Undergraduate Studies, BM in Music Composition.
